Best Innovator Award 2011 Winner: Gemalto

The Best Innovator Jury has chosen Gemalto in recognition to its excellence in innovation management and leadership. This excellence has led to decisive breakthroughs such as e-Government services or mobile financial services. Gemalto has also set an internal committee, whom portfolio of ideas is fed worldwide by all its employees, and where ideas go through a "try hard, fail fast" process, before possibly being incubated.

Best Innovator SME Award 2011 Winner: Ecoceane

Ecoceane owns a pattern that enables boats to swallow up to 100 cube meter of oil per hour, regardless of the climatic conditions. The company has already sold 60 skimmer ships in the world, and is now designing 13-meter long ships that could embark on tankers in order to cope with mini oil spills.
